• • • • • • Reviewed by Seagate Jeremiah Great solution for softbody simulation This asset does what it says, And it does its mission with GPU only. So there is no CPU spikes or if it were some, itd be much less than if it was doing so with CPU instead of GPU. Therefore if you master how to work with the sensors of this asset, Then you could do pretty much every kind of softbody simulation. Ill shorten my review by writing it into two separate parts. Which you may read below.
Part one: The Good *Excellent Performance *Easy to configure and setup the softbody object *Shader Forge Ready and supports custom shaders (read its manual for more information for doing so) *Highly flexible, You can make a hair or make a cloth or even a 3D tire simulation with its sensors Part two: The Bad *Unfortunately working with the sensors for more complex shapes could be very hard, Obviously you need to work with the sensors via scripting. So nothing visual is available and also there are no very much details in the manual for real-time sensor modification At the end, I recommend this asset for softbody simulations but if you want to use it for complex shapes, modifying its sensors in realtime then you may find it hard therefore it may take time a lot but once you get the hang of it, then you find it the best and most efficient way for the simulation stuff. It is working on mobile.
This asset is being sold in 2 different versions, Standard and Pro while the Pro version has a support priority and beta access as well as the full source code of the asset. Whether you buy Standard or the Pro one, youd never loose your money. This asset is not a crappy one. If only working with the sensors were easier then it would be a prefect softbody and vertex deformation asset.
