Meera is Tamil mega serial that is being aired in Star Vijay from Monday to Friday by 8 PM. The serial started its run from 6th of September 2010. The title role is donned by the 'Saravanan Meenatchi' fame Sreeja. The story talks about Meera who's a kind hearted, soft spoken woman hailing from a Brahmin family. She nurtures good qualities and good manners towards people. Meera works as a nurse at a hospital in Chennai. Her family finds a groom for her.

She goes to her home town for the engagement and on her way back to Chennai with the dreams of marriage life, she happens to encounter an abandoned child. Without knowing the whereabouts of the child's mother or its family, she takes the child to his home.
